LAHORE Two companies have expressed their desire to invest Rs 250 millions for the betterment in railways infrastructure, TheNation has learnt on Monday. The companies namely Four Brothers Associates and Sarfraz Associates in a technical bid offered Rs 200 million and Rs 50 million respectively for the improvement of infrastructure of the cash-stricken department. An official of the PR told this scriber that the companies managers presented before the Railways Tender Committee on Monday and expressed their desire on railways open offer in this regard. We are hopeful that more companies would also come after their entering, he said and requested not to publish his name. The official said that the move has been a part of private-public partnership in railways. He said the offer was forwarded to the management for final approval. If it was recommended then the money was spend for developing some stations and to run a first class train from Lahore to Karachi, he added.
