LAHORE Fulminating the statement of Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gillani regarding Seraiki province, the Punjabi Language Movement (PLM) has said the PPP would be buried alive in Punjab and Sindh if it ever raise the slogan in favour of Seriaki province in the next elections. Addressing the workers from Multan, Jhang, Sargodha and Bahawalpur on Monday, PLM convener Nazeer Kahut said if Gilani and PPP want Seraiki province, they should better look for one outside of Punjab as Seraikis did not exist in Punjab, adding one should never forget that Punjab was the motherland of Punjabi nation. He strongly condemned the announcement made by PM at Bahauddin Zikria University Multan on Sunday in which he promised that the creation of a Seraiki province and more provinces would be made part of the PPPs manifesto for next elections. He demanded of the government of Punjab and Pemra to take stern action against Seraiki channels, who were involved in spreading hatred against Punjab. He also demanded that all grants and funds worth billions of rupees allocated by the PM for Seraiki study area centre at BZU should be frozen and diverted to the down-trodden people of south Punjab for their welfare.
