Peshawar: Minister of State for Education Baligh-ur-Rehman says literacy rate has been increased from fifty-eight to sixty percent, during the last two years.

Addressing the inaugural ceremony of a two-day conference on education today, he said efforts are underway to further increase literacy rate in the country.

Baligh-ur-Rehman said two million dropped out children have been readmitted in schools.

He said literacy centers and vocational centers will be opened across the country to provide technical training to youth.

Baligh-ur-Rehman said National Curricular Council has been established to suggest ways and means for uniformity in the curriculum.
