LAHORE - Pakistan new rugby coach Justin Fitzpatrick has said that the players have great passion and talent in the field of rugby and with some extra efforts, they can improve a lot and their future is bright.

Fitzpatrick while talking to the reporters on Monday during the training session at Lahore Rugby Football Ground said: “It’s good to be here in the Asian country and I hope the team will improve by leaps and bounds and try to earn good name and fame for the country.”

“Besides their good fitness level, Pakistan players also have great rugby passion and I am very hopeful that I will be able to make further improvement in the team,” he added.

Downplaying security fears in Pakistan, he said: “I am from Belfast, so this is something which I am not afraid of. The offer to go to Pakistan excited me so I am here and enjoying my stint,” he concluded. Rugby is a new sport in Pakistan which competes internationally at a regional level. Pakistan will start their campaign against arch-rivals India.
