SADIQABAD - Various deadly diseases are spreading primarily because of the sewage-mixed water being supplied to Mazhar Farid Colony by the Tehsil Council Sadiqabad.
However, the Tehsil Municipal Administration officials are paying no heed to the repeated complaints filed by local people. The residents of the colony namely Noor Muhammad, Khursheed Ahmad, Shafiq, Saeed Ahmad, Zubair, Nawaz, Mushtaq, Anwarul Haq, Afzal, Shabbir, Tahir said that for the last many years, the residents had been being supplied with sewage-mixed water.
They said that the main pipelines had been laid but the branch lines of streets are still in dilapidated condition. They added that these pipelines were in shambles.
They said that the 30-year-old pipelines had been ruined with rust. They explained that the drinkable water was getting mixed with sewage from the damaged pipelines. They local residents have demanded that the old and rusted pipelines be changed immediately.
