MULTAN - A three-day painting exhibition by Saira Riaz, teacher of Zakariya University Engineering College, concluded here on Monday. Saira put over 50 pieces of her work on display and her paintings attracted a large number of art-lovers. The exhibition was held at Multan Arts Council and it was inaugurated by Engineering College Principal Prof Akhtar Ali Kalroo.
“I’ve tried to highlight different issues like gender discrimination, hidden capabilities of women and social problems faced by the women through my work,” said Saira Riaz, while talking to the journalists. She said that she was working since 2002 and had already participated in eight exhibitions.
The students from different departments of BZ University especially engineering and arts faculties expressed deep interest in the exhibition. Talking to the journalists, the students Usman, Sarfaraz, Faisal, Muneeb and Manzar Qazi said that the exhibition offered them a deep insight in women related issues.
