LAHORE– A woman has filed a petition in the Lahore High Court seeking release of her spouse who is allegedly languishing in jail for the last four years on charges of petitioner’s murder after kidnapping.

As per details, Shazia Parveen, who had contracted love marriage with Nazir in 2008, has moved the Lahore High Court for release of her husband languishing in jail for the last four years in a case registered against him for her kidnapping and murder.

Shazia’s father Dolat Khan, in 2008, had got a case registered with the Sangla Hill Police Station, Faisalabad alleging that Nazir had abducted his daughter.

The police took Nazir into custody and Additional District and Sessions Judge Khizer Hayat of Sangla Hill, relying on police investigations, sentenced him to 25 years in jail.

In an appeal filed before the LHC, Shazia requested the court to release her husband.

“After escaping from the custody of kidnappers and reaching at my home, I came to know that my father had got registered a murder case against my loving husband,” Shazia told the media.

She said that her husband was innocent while her father had cheated them and kept her away from the house for four years.
