LAHORE - A mentally-retarded woman died shortly after she fell down from the Dharampura underpass in Mustafabad, police said on Thursday.
An eyewitness said the 35-year-old woman, unidentified so far, was hit by a speedy car as she fell on the road from the bridge.
The woman sustained multiple injuries and expired on the spot. The windscreen of the car was broken while the driver also sustained minor injuries.
A good number of people gathered on the spot after the road mishap. The police later reached there and termed the death as accidental. The body was moved to the morgue. Further investigations were underway.
KILLED: A 22-year-old motorcyclist was killed when a rashly-driven van bumped into his two-wheeler in Johar Town. The man, identified as Salman, riding on a motorcycle was going to a nearby market when a van hit his two-wheeler near Allahu Chowk. He was rushed to hospital where he succumbed to injuries. The police have arrested van driver, Muhammad Ali, and are investigating.
