LAHORE - Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah Khan has defended the statement of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif on ‘non-state actors’ going to Mumbai for carrying out terror attacks.

Talking to media outside the Punjab Assembly chamber here yesterday, the law minister said Nawaz Sharif said the same on terror attacks in Mumbai what former interior minister of the PPP government Rehman Malik said about the conspiracy being prepared by non-state actors in Pakistan. Rana Sana said Pakistan is being jeered at the international level not because of the statement of Nawaz Sharif but for the reason case has not been decided so far in Pakistan.

The law minister said unknown elements have targeted Nawaz Sharif for third time and controlled media feeding is being done behind the scene. He said no matter how much noises the tools of such forces make and dramas stage, Nawaz Sharif will continue to speak the truth. He said 220 million people can no more be deceived through hypocrisy nor falsehood can stay any longer. The law minister said that one of generals who brought Pakistan to this point is no more while the other is sitting abroad. He said over the last 70 years the nation is bearing with all that and it was the time to come clean.

He said the statements of Rehman Malik and former military ruler Pervez Musharraf are on the record and Nawaz Sharif said nothing new and different from what they had stated. He said that more attempts are being made to malign Nawaz Sharif.
