A question of rule of law

It is hard to understand why the Minister who was frisked at a checkpoint near the Presidency by the law enforcing agencies made an issue out of it. Dont these Ministers always say that nobody is above the law? Then on what basis he is crying? Democracy, or dictatorship - our Ministers and government officials never come out of their mentality to equate themselves with the masses. This protocol culture should be banned. It is nothing but a nuisance and a big inconvenience for the masses. The Ministers have no right to raise a hue and cry if they cannot solve the problems of the masses. IFTIKHAR AHMED, Lahore, November 11.
