The parliamentarians in the National Assembly must take notice of the troubles faced by the farmers especially with respect to the growing season. Not only there is shortage of water but the rates of seeds and fertilizers and other inputs have gone sky high. Already the World Bank has warned that Pakistan might be facing a famine owing to neglect to the agricultural sector. It appears that our leaders in power will see to it that it does happen. How dare they fly our national flag on their offices and cars. The guns of two security personnel recently pointed at a minister to make them obey the law should be seen a writing on the wall that the anger of the masses is at its peak.
