LAHORE - A 14-member delegation from India led by Inder Mohan Singh called on Speaker Punjab Assembly Rana Muhammad Iqbal at Assembly chambers on Monday. The delegation is in Lahore to participate in 125th Founders Day celebration of Aitchison College. Speaking on the occasion, the Speaker said that war was no solution to any dispute and given the fact that Pakistan and India were nuclear powers, the two countries should resolve their issues through dialogue. He said Pakistan had always been desirous of maintaining friendly relations with neighbouring countries including India and was against all forms of terrorism. Rana said that poverty was the common enemy of India and Pakistan and both countries should make joint efforts to defeat it. The PA speaker was of the view that enhanced economic cooperation will help improve relations between the two south Asian neighbours. He said the two countries will have to wage war on poverty, terrorism and unemployment.
