TEHRAN (AFP) Iran has slammed the Arab League's suspension of Syria over its lethal crackdown on protest, saying the decision will complicate efforts to resolve the crisis, local media reported on Monday. Iran "believes that the Arab League statement regarding the developments in Syria not only does not help solve the issue but will make it more complicated," Iranian foreign ministry spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast was quoted as saying in the Iranian media. Similarly, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on Monday condemned Syria's suspension from the Arab League over its lethal crackdown on protests, saying the move was "incorrect."
