The judge said in the context of misuse of modern day gadgets like cell phone, internet etc by the kids and felt sorry that a loose control of the parents at the level of 'mummy-daddy class that the social fabric was also becoming loose by that. The time has come when neither parents bother to know what their kids are doing nor the kids like to tell their parents what they are doing. It is unfortunate, the judge added. The court was hearing the petition filed by a traffic warden Humayun Shahzad for recovery of his alleged wife Maryum Khan Lashari from the custody of her parents. SHO Okara City Police Station Aziz Cheema was given time by the court till Tuesday to ensure recovery of the detenue after he was twice given chance to do the needful on Monday. The SHO told the court that no one had been found present at the house of detenues parents despite repeated raids. The DSP Mahar Yousaf has been directed to provide all help to the SHO about recovery of Maryam. The petitioner claims he and Maryum had married clandestinely out of a love affair, some three years ago when Maryum was a boarder at Allied School, Lahore. He says during that period the girl stayed at hostel and visited him and her parents who learned about the marriage only 15 days back when they insisted on her marriage and she resisted disclosing her alleged wedlock with the petitioner. The petitioner, 30, says Maryum is 23, and is being forcibly detained by her parents and her life is at threat. He says last time on November 3, the parents promised to formally depart their daughter but the following day all disappeared. Advocate Asghir Ali Gill for the petitioner alleged that the SHO is acting in league with the parents of the girl as such a direction may be given to the DPO to ensure recovery and production of the lady. The court took exception to the 'conceited attitude of the SHO however it showed leniency when he 'repented his attitude. The cop prayed for more time to comply with the court order which was given till next Tuesday.
