Our Staff Reporter BAHAWALNAGAR - The torture of a peon at Government High School Jandwala led a minor to alleged mental disability. According to detail, one Mohammad Niaz, a resident of Chak Jandwala submitted a complaint to the District Education Department high-ups that one Mohammad Khan, a peon at Government High School Jandwala, subjected his eight-year-old son Abdul Raheem, a student of class-4th to severe torture for nothing a few days ago. Abdul Raheem fell unconscious and suffered mental disability. He said that when he approached the police to take action against the accused but the Donga Bonga Police paid no heed to his supplication. On the other hand, the School administration itself appeared helpless to take action against the influential Peon who has been enjoying strong political backing. Locals have expressed great concern over the incident. They are of the view that the likes the peon always exploit innocent people on the behest of their political God fathers who provide them full support. They demanded the authorities should take stern action such elements to set an example and avoid such occurrences in the future. One killed, two injured in accident: A youth lost his life while two others sustained injuries in a road accident near Bahawalnagar Cantonment here Monday. According to detail, three youngsters, residents of Chak Chubiana, were on their way to home when a speeding vehicle LSA5182 hit them, killing Youth Sajid, 17, and injuring his two companions. Rescue 1122 rushed to spot after getting information and shifted the injured to DHQ Bahawalnagar. City Police took the vehicle into custody and started investigating. Youth killed for abducting girl: A youth was killed over abducting a girl here in the precinct of P/S Macleod Ganj the other day. According to detail, a youth Sajid Ali, resident of Chak Bandiwala abducted Samina, daughter of Abdul Ghaffar, few days ago. Sajid sent Samina back to her family some days after kidnapping. To take revenge, Abdul Ghaffar with his accomplices Javed, Allah Ditta and Abdul Sattar gunned down Sajid on Sunday evening at Mauza Hasan Wala. Macleod Ganj Police booked the accused on the complaint of Sajids father.
