Our Staff Reporter BAHAWALNAGAR - Three executive posts i.e Executive District Officer Health (EDO-H), District Health officer and Medical superintendent District Headquarters Hospital have fallen vacant here in District Bahawalnagar. According to detail, as EDO-H Dr Khalid Majeed was transferred recently and posted as Bahawal Victoria Hospital Bahawalpur Medical Superintendent, now all three key posts of the District Health Department Bahawalnagar have fallen vacant. Earlier, the post of the District Health Officer has been lying vacant for last two months after the death of DO-H Dr Saleem Akhtar. Meanwhile the office of the DHQ Hospital MS has also been vacant after the transfer of Dr Mohammad Akram who was transferred to Lahore three months ago. Now the District Health Department is running without any master while people across the district have been facing manifold hardships to get even minor treatment in hospitals. Local social activist Sheikh Mohammad Ramzan, businessman Ch Zahoor Ahmad, former District Bar Association president Liaquat Ali Chaudhry, an NGO organiser Mian Shabbir Ahmad Baitu have demanded the Punjab Chief Minister that these key posts should be filled immediately for the convenience of poor patients.
