KARACHI - Law enforcement agencies have apprehended more than half dozen suspects over their alleged involvement in carrying out attacks outside the Imambargahs Abul Fazal within the jurisdictions of Shahrah-e-Noorjahan police station.
Around one dozen people, including media men and security personnel were wounded in three explosions occurred outside the two Imambargahs in North Nazimabad and North Karachi localities on Wednesday night within 2.5 hours.
According to bomb disposal squad, the first blast carried out with the help of remote control, second exploded with a timer device and the third one was occurred due to hand grenade. Though, the law enforcers are still unaware whether a single group of terrorist was behind the incident or more than one. However, law enforcers conducted raids in the areas where explosions took place and detained around 10 suspects.  Karachi Additional IG Shahid Hayat also claimed that few suspects have also been rounded up and further investigation was underway. The police have registered the cases against unidentified persons.
