Heirs of 7 terror victims compensated

DERA GHAZI KHAN - The heirs of the seven people, who were killed in a bomb blast at the camp office of MNA Amjad Farooq in Taunsa Sharif on October 14,2015, were distributed compensation cheques here on Saturday.
Punjab Minister for Cooperatives Iqbal Channar distributed the compensation cheques during a ceremony in TMA Office of Taunsa. Seven people including three contestants of local bodies elections, Iftikharul Hassan Sanghi, Zameerul Hassan Sanghi, Malik Ghulam Jaffar of Nari Janobi; Umer Daraz of Mithy Wali; Hussain resident of Herny Wali; Zahid Hussain of Basti Kachal; and Akhter of Taunsa City had been killed while two persons Peer Bashir Jaffer and Munir Bhutta injured seriously in the suicide bomb attack.
The heirs of the deceased were handed over cheques of Rs500,000 each. Two persons, who were injured in the incident, were also compensated with cheques of Rs25,000 each. Speaking on the occasion, the minister said that the Punjab chief minister also wanted to attend the ceremony but due to busyness, he could not do so.

The government would continue its struggle against terrorists, he said. He added that the situation had improved owing to the patience of people and dutifulness of police and other security forces.
MNA Sardar Amjad Farooq Khosa said that PML-N was facing the threats but efforts were being made for eradication of the enemy.
