A group of young British Muslims are using the hashtag #Notinmyname to remind the world that the Islamic State does not represent Islam.

"Your actions do not represent the actions of your rightly guided companions," said one man in a video posted to YouTube by the Active Change Foundation, a London-based community organization that launched the #Notinmyname campaign.

But some people on Twitter also expressed sadness that such a hashtag has to exist in the first place.

"I'm glad muslims are doing the #NotInMyName hashtag to disavow ISIS, but it should be a given that muslims don't support extremists," tweeted @Thaily.
