Recently a 20 year-old girl committed suicide by hanging from a ceiling fan. The police started the investigations but it is not clear that why she killed herself? Each day such events are taking place.  

Every year around 15,000 suicide cases are recorded in Pakistan and nearly 25 percent of the cases belong to teens and 50 percent of the cases occur with youth under 30 years. South Asia is known to be the world’s suicide focal point as each day at least 20 students commit suicide because of pressure due to studies and domestic affairs. Although Pakistan is a Muslim country and in Islam it is prohibited to commit suicide yet these events are still occurring at an increasing pace. The youth is committing suicide which is detrimental for society and can affect the generations to come. I would like to request the authorities concerned to prevent such activities and to protect the younger generation.
