LAHORE - Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif has asked the party workers to prepare for the next elections.

Talking to PML-N workers and office-bearers from Lahore and other parts of the province who met him at Jati Umrah, Nawaz Sharif expressed the hope that PML-N will win the next elections with a clear majority and asked the party men to get ready for taking part in the polls. He asked them to moblise the public in their respective areas. He said the public service had been his mission throughout his stay in the office and he would continue fight for the well being and betterment of people in the future as well.

The former prime minister said people rejected the elements doing negative politics in the last elections and they will be discarded by the power of vote in the coming elections too. The PML-N president also asked the party persons to adopt decency in politics unlike the PML-N political rivals who, he added, had crossed all limits. He said, “Our victory and their defeat in the next election will be a befitting response to the PML-N rivals.”

On the occasion, the party workers appeared very excited chanting slogans in favour of Nawaz Sharif. Jalal Malik of NA-120 Lahore told this scribe that workers stood by Nawaz Sharif like a rock and would not hesitate to give any sacrifice for his sake. He said the workers wanted that no injustice should be done to the party president and his family members and any adverse action against him would generate serious reaction at the workers level in the party.
