Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Sindh General Secretary and Sindh Assembly parliamentary party leader Haleem Adil Shiekh said on Thursday that in Sindh, the opposition political workers were being targeted through police.
Talking to the media before the start of Sindh Assembly session, he said that factories’ waste was being released into Keenjhar Lake. He said that the RO plants on Manchar Lake were not functional. “In Sindh, the government schools lacked capacity to teach children,” he added.
He said that the political workers were being harassed through the police, but they were not afraid and he would continue to raise his voice. Adil said that they could start an investigation against him at any given time.
The PTI Sindh general secretary said that despite the court orders, the Sindh government did not give powers to the IGP. He said that the government wanted to keep the IGP under the home department. He further said that there was no police order in this province. “Some police officers were playing the role as Kamdars,” he added.
