Sindh Governor Imran Ismail attended a roundtable discussion with the American Business Council of Pakistan (ABCP) here on Thursday. The council was represented by its president, Kamran Nishat.
United States (US) Consul General JoAnne Wagner was also present on the occasion. The Sindh governor said that the endeavors and measures were being adopted by the federal government with regard to promotion of healthy business activities especially with reference to Sindh province.
He also apprised the audience that the federal government had notified an ‘Industrial Liaison Committee’ to ease out the problems being faced by the industrialists and businessman in approaching concerned ministries at Islamabad.
The governor Sindh further said that under the umbrella of Karachi Infrastructure Development Company Limited, the federal government was funding four significant projects for Karachi including, Water Desalination Plants, Sewerage Treatment Plant, widening of Northern Bye-pass and Green Line Bus Rapid Transit System.
He also said that due attention was being given in disposal of garbage. In this regard, consultation with the provincial government was also being ensured.
