CCPO says fake FIRs unacceptable

LAHIORE  - Capital City Police Officer Chaudhry Shafiq Ahmed has warned the Lahore police that the Station House Officers (SHO’s) found involved in registering fake cases will be dealt with iron hands.
A police spokesman said that the city police chief stated this while presiding a meeting held to review the crime situation in the Iqbal Town police division at the Police Lahore Qila Gujar Singh on Monday. DIG (Operations) Muhammad Tahir Rai, DIG (investigation) Zulfiqar Hameed, SSP (Operation) Jawad Qamar, SSP (Investigation) Abdual Rab, SSP (I&D) Sohail Sokhara, were also present on this occasion besides all the concerned officers of the Iqbal Town Division. The CCPO also reiterated that the cops who behave badly with the public at police stations are giving bad name to the department and they have no right to serve in the department. The CCPO reviewed the crime situation in the Iqbal Town Division in-detail and took to task the officers who failed to show good results in their respective police station regarding the arrests of hardened criminals and proclaimed offenders.
