BAHAWALPUR
Elaborated security arrangements had been finalised for the sacred day of Eidul Azha and special deployment will be made to cope with any untoward incident across the district.
As per details, 40 eidgahs have been declared sensitive wherein heavy police force will be deployed for foolproof security. More than 1,126 policemen including officers and 500 volunteers will perform their duties across the district. The policemen included six DSPs, 29 Inspectors, 218 Sub Inspectors/ASI, 675 head constable/constable and 78 Elite Force officials will perform duty at Eid congregation points.
In the district Eid prayers will be offered at 366 places of which 40 points have been declared sensitive where strict security arrangements will be made. All the Eid congregation points have been categorised as 40 Eidgahs have been placed in category A, 62 in B category and 264 are placed in C category for better security arrangements. About 20 lady constables and four reserve personnel will also assist the police besides officials in plainclothes.
Similarly, Rahim Yar Khan DPO Sohail Zafar Chatta has also declared foolproof security plan to maintain security on Eid. According to which 475 Eid gatherings will take place in the district for which 1400 police officials will be deployed while 950 police volunteers and 950 local volunteers will observe their duties.
Out of 475 locations, 37 have been declared as sensitive and they are placed in category A, while 31 locations are included in category B and 307 locations are placed in C category.
At the time of Eid congregation, the personnel of Elite Force, Quick Response Force and Muhafiz Squad will patrol all important roads and areas to avert any contingency.
