Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif chaired a meeting on national security on Tuesday.
Director General of Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) Lt Gen Zaheerul Islam, Federal Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, Director General Rangers, Secretary Interior and other high ranking officials also attended the meeting.
Topic discussed during the meeting were the prime minister's upcoming trip to the United States and the process of peace talks with militants.
Moreover, the overall law and order situation of the country was also discussed during the meeting.
