QUETTA : A Station House Officer (SHO) was killed in Khuzdar town, some 360 kilometres southeast of Quetta, on Monday. According to police, Khuzdar Police Station SHO, Nisar Ahmed Mengal was on his way to police station when armed men riding a motorbike opened indiscriminate fire at him on Hospital Road Khuzdar. Resultantly, he sustained multiple bullet wounds and died immediately. The assailants fled from the scene after committing the crime.
Police after the incident rushed to the site and shifted the body to civil hospital for medico-legal formalities. However, motive behind the murder is yet to be ascertained. No group has claimed responsibility for the murder. A case has been registered and further investigations were underway.
