Over 50pc aspiring docs flunk exams

Islamabad - More than 50 percent students having foreign basic medical qualification flunked examination of Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC).
Dow University of Health Sciences Karachi has declared the results of National Examination Board step III, OSCE/viva of PM&DC. This examination of Pakistani nationals having foreign basic medical qualification was conducted in Islamabad on September 14, 2014. Medical doctors who graduate from foreign countries are bound to undergo these examinations to start practice in Pakistan.
Registrar PM&DC Dr Amjad Mehmood said the record number of passing credit goes to the refresher/preparatory courses held by PM&DC in Islamabad and Lahore to facilitate these candidates and the implementation of the structured pattern of the examination by the council.

He said that details about the results are available on the website of Dow University of Health Sciences Karachi.
