LAHORE (PR): Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital & Research Centre organized a special event to observe International Breast Cancer Awareness Day Wednes in the hospital. The event was part of “Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign” being launched by the hospital to create awareness in masses about Breast cancer.
Famous film star & SKMCH&RC ambassador for the campaign Mahira Khan and renowned singer Hadiqa Kiani, consultants, doctors, students and teachers from different female educational institutions and people from different walks of life were present on this occasion. Ayesha Sana hosted the well-attended event.

CCBPL installs water filtration plant
LAHORE (PR): With an aim to provide safe and clean drinking water to the community, Coca-Cola Beverages Pakistan Limited (CCBPL) has installed a water filtration plant in Badami Bagh Lari Adda Lahore. The plant was inaugurated by Capt (r) Muhammad Usman, District Coordination Officer (DCO) Lahore, Atilla Yerlikaya, Corporate Affairs Director, Coca-Cola Icecek, John Galvin, GM CCBPL, and Zafar Abbas Jafri, Director Public Affairs and Communications at CCBPL. This water filtration plant will serve 20,000 people every day, mostly passengers travelling to and from other cities. This water filtration plant has the capacity of 2000 liters of water per hour.

ABL ‘strongest bank by balance sheet in Pakistan’

McDonald’s cricket team

LAHORE (PR): McDonald’s Pakistan has announced 14 members cricket team to take part in the corporate cricket season 2015-16. The decision came out in a ceremony at McDonald’s Fortress Stadium Lahore. Former test cricketer & presently selector Pakistan Cricket Team Ijaz Ahmed along with Mushtaq Ahmed, GM Finance National Cricket Academy, graced the event as chief guests.

Event on ‘hand washing day’

LAHORE (PR): Plan International Pakistan in collaboration with Housing, Urban Development & Public Health Engineering (HUD&PHED) - Government of Punjab, Water Aid and UNICEF organised Global Hand Washing Day on 13th October in Lahore.The event was attended by children, policy makers and civil society to mark the 8th commemoration of the event. Global Handwashing Day was first celebrated in 2008. Since then October 15 has become synonymous with the Day.
Minister HUD&PHED - Punjab, Malik Tanveer Aslam was the chief guest and the event was attended by members of the provincial assembly, and representatives from provincial government departments, local government andInternational NGOs.
