The solar power project

China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) is going to have their first ever energy project under $46 billion. The 100MW plant is the pilot stage of a more ambitious plan to build the world’s largest solar farm. Once completed, the site could have capacity of 5.2 million PV cells producing as much as 1,000MW of electricity which will be enough to power about 320,000 households.
The project is under control of a Chinese company Xinjiang Sun Oasis which is expected to be completed in August 2017.
The renewable energy power project fueled by solar energy of the Quaid-e-Azam Solar Power Park (QASP) in Bhawalpur, is named after Pakistan’s founding father, Mohammad Ali Jinnah.
The announcement of this project has caused a great interest on the part of investors.People have been criticizing the project and calling it as a failed and corrupted project by PML-N.
The need for solar energy is greater. I pray it works out and the nation gets benefit from it. It is great project for Pakistan and it will bring development to its economy and the life style of the people of our country.
