LAHORE - The Pakistan leather companies, participating in Lineapelle Mega Leather Fair being presently held at Milan, Italy, are expected to book order of around $15 million.

The Pakistan companies established their leather products stall at the show under the banner of Pakistan Tanners Association in collaboration with Trade Development Authority of Pakistan and Embassy of Pakistan in Rome, Italy. A large number of buyers from the USA, Canada, European courtiers, Japan, Korea, China, Vietnam, Eastern European Counties and Scandinavian Courtiers visited the show.

The PTA Central Chairman Sehikh Saqib Saeed the Pakistan Pavilion was successfully organized in Lineapelle Fair wherein total 25 leather firms participated the show, displaying their finest quality and attractive articles of leather of sheep, goat, cow and buffalo in this vital potential event of leather industry. Sheikh Saqib said that the fair is seen as the major international show for the Pakistan’s tanners with existing and new buyers attending from all over the world, particularly from Europe. “The outcome of our member participants was encouraging in this new venue at Milan as a good number of foreign buyers visited Pakistani stands during 3 days fair and witnessed best quality of Pakistani Leather. PTA chairman said that the Commercial Counsellor in Embassy of Pakistan in Rome Farid Tarar extended cooperation. He said that Pakistan was producing excellent quality leather and lather goods, which are highly competitive in the world markets. Pakistan pavilion was proved to be a point of attraction for buyers.
