Cancer survivors shine in Shaukat Khanam’s Roshni

LAHORE: Cancer survivors and under treatment kids of Shaukat Khanum Cancer Hospital enthralled the audience last night with their superb performance in a stage play “Roshni”.
In the full packed Alhamra Hall, the audience was very much involved in the play and praised the kids on every scene and gave a standing ovation at the end of the play.
The play was aimed to aware the audience about that the cancer which is treatable and it is the valour and courage of the patient which can defeat the cancer.
Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre’s CEO Dr Faisal Sultan and Mobilink CFO Mr Andrew Kemp were the chief guests of the play.
Speaking at the occasion, Dr Sultan applauded the children and said they had strongly conveyed the message which showed how talented they were like any other healthy child. “These children have fought and defeated the disease with their strong courage and valour,” he said.
After watching the performance of the kids, Mr Andrew Kemp said, he was much convinced the future of Pakistan is bright. He also praised the administration and workers of the hospital for their passion to serve humanity.
The play was directed by Zareen Salman while the Mobilink Foundation sponsored the event.–PR
