Islamabad - The Capital Development Authority (CDA) Training Academy is organising a three-day special training workshop for the owners, managers and general managers of hotels and restaurants operating in the city.

The training workshop is being organised in collaboration with the Islamabad district administration from September 16 to September 18 on the directions of Chairman CDA Maroof Afzal. The special training workshop is aimed to create awareness about maintaining quality and standard of food as per international health and hygiene standards. On the first day of workshop, training would be given about the food quality. On the second day, focus would be given to safety measures while on the third day hotels and restaurants staff would be trained about the hygiene standards.

The workshop would also be participated by the officers of health services and municipal administration directorates of the CDA and Islamabad capital territory. The authority comes in to action after the city administration pointed out provision of substandard food items at hotels and restaurants of the city. During the last week, a number of hotel and restaurant owners were fined and booked as they were found to be violating the food laws.
