The government has announced Eidul Azha holidays from September 24 to 27, according to news sources.

Yesterday, Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Chairman Mufti Muneebur Rehman announced that the Zilhaj moon wasn’t sighted as a result of which Eid would fall on September 25.

At the same time, however, a meeting of the local crescent-sighting body headed by Mufti Shahabuddin Popalzai was held in Masjid Qasim Ali Khan which decided that Eid-ul-Azha will be observed on the 24th of September in KP.

Eidul Azha – a celebration of Sunnat-e-Ibrahimi – is observed on the 10th day of Zilhaj which will fall on September 25, Friday.
