It's time folks! Get your cricket kits and sports gear ready, as the biggest sporting event in the recent history of the country is getting much closer.
The Pakistan Cricket Board plans to organise a launch event for the much-talked about T20 Pakistan Super League scheduled to begin in February next year. The glittering, star-studded, magnanimous event on September 20th in Lahore is to unveil the logo of the super league as well as its official anthem.
That's not it. The unveiling event will feature musical performances by the country's leading musicians, the extremely talented duo of Strings and the reigning 'Rockstar', Ali Zafar, fresh after the immense popularity of two of his renditions for the ongoing season's Coke Studio.
As the PCB has promised to make this inaugural edition of PSL a memorable cricketing event in history, it has some plans up its sleeves to make sure that happens. This event will bring together a host of national celebrities from the fields of fashion, film, TV and music together on the same platform as well as cricketing superstars. It can't get bigger than this.
Just when you thought this is the best that could happen, there's more. These celebs are supposed to be ambassadors of each of the five participating teams. Imagine your favourite celebrities supporting their teams on ground which will have best of the best cricket players from the world. Yes, this is all going to happen.
Also, for those wishing to talk about the PSL on social media, two hashtags -- #PSL and #‎AbKhelKeDikha -- have been introduced for the purpose.
Pakistan Super League that is supposed to take place in Doha, Qatar has garnered a lot of hype in the national as well international media and all eyes will be on this historic sporting event that takes to Doha 40 of the biggest international cricketers from around the world with Pakistan's own cricket heroes.
