LAHORE - Kamran Wajid, a student who got second position in Intermediate (Arts Group) examination in Sargodha Board, called on Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Monday.

The CM lauded his brilliant performance, his mother and Govt Higher Secondary School Principal Hafiz Muhammad Saeed. He also gave away a cheque for Rs0.5 million and a laptop to Kamran Wajid. Principal Hafiz Muhammad Saeed was also given a cheque for Rs0.15 million.

Speaking on the occasion, Shahbaz Sharif said the hard working students like Kamran Wajid are great asset of the nation. He said the Punjab government is spending billions of rupees on the down trodden but hard working and talented youth like Kamran Wajid. The CM announced the Punjab government will bear the educational expenses of Kamran Wajid and materialise the dream of talented orphan student for getting further education. “Despite difficult situation, Kamran Wajid has shown excellent performance in intermediate examinations. He is a symbol for bright future of Pakistan and we all are proud of his excellent success.”
