ISLAMABAD - Hyderabad need a miracle to avoid defeat against Islamabad in the Inter-Region U-19 Three-Day Tournament 2018-19 match played here at National Ground on Friday.
Hyderabad finished day two at 113-6 in second innings and still required 153 more runs to avoid innings defeat. Mujahid Ali was unbeaten at 28. Sardar Khan 3-33. Earlier, Islamabad resumed their first innings at overnight score of 222-4 and scored 380-8 in 83 overs, thus took 266 runs first innings’ lead. Haroon Wahid hammered 177. M Hassan Nawaz made 59 and Irfan Khan 33. Tayyab Ali took 2-64, Mustafa Nasir 2-96 and M Aizaz 2-116.
At Marghazar Ground, Larakana is at brink of losing against Rawalpindi, as they finished day two at 40-1 in second innings. Earlier, Rawalpindi resumed their first innings at overnight score of 153-4 and posted 331-9, thus took 227 runs massive first innings’ lead. Haider Ali made 75, Abdul Faseeh 53 and Mubashir Khan 46. Javed Ali Khoso bagged 3-58, Mehrab Khan 2-34 and Amir Ali 2-73.
At Mirpur Stadium, AJK, Lahore Whites scored 145-8 in second innings against AJK, thus enjoying 199 runs lead with two wickets in hand. Earlier, they resumed their first innings at overnight score of 38-3 and scored 231 all out, thus conceded 45 runs first innings lead. Zohaib Bukhari slammed 132. Hashim Ibrahim grabbed 5-76 and Abdul Qayyum 2-22.
At Bohran Wali ground, Faisalabad beat Karachi by 2 wickets. Faisalabad achieved 203 runs target with 2 wickets to spare. Saif Ali made 83 and M Irfan Khan 75. Maaz Bin Salman took 2-29, M Makki 2-37, Jahanzaib Sultan 2-6. At Gohati Cricket Ground, Swabi, Peshawar Region hammered Sialkot by an innings and 182 runs. Sialkot were bowled out for 108 in second innings with Ashit Bhatti scoring 40. Ahmed Khan captured 4-32, M Amir 4-28 and Ejaz Ur Rehman 2-36.
At NBP Stadium, Karachi, Abbottabad scored 192-5 in second innings against Dera Murad Jamali, thus had 36 runs lead with 5 wickets still in hand. At UBL Sports Complex, Karachi, Karachi Blues hammered Multan by 10 wickets. Karachi achieved 34-run target without losing a wicket. At TMC ground, Karachi, Fata made 141-7 in second innings against Quetta. At Jinnah Stadium, Gujranwala, Bahawalpur made 116-5 against Lahore Blues.
