ISLAMABAD Spokesperson to President Farhatullah Babar has said on Friday that on the advice of Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani, President Zardari has approved the appointment of Senator Moula Bakhsh Chandio as Federal Law Minister and Advocate Farooq Awan as Advisor on Law. Senator Chandio will take oath as federal minister today (Saturday). Earlier, the prime minister called on President Asif Ali Zardari here at the Presidents House on Friday night. During the meeting, matters relating to current political situation, appointment of the law minister and the forthcoming visit of the prime minister to Afghanistan came under discussion. Gilani also informed the president about his telephonic conversation with UK Prime Minister David Cameron. The prime minister invited the president to perform the ground breaking of Bhasha Dam project, which was accepted by the president. Zardari apprised the prime minister about his recent visit to Turkey and both the leaders expressed satisfaction over pre-feasibility study of Gul Train. Chandio was selected as Senator in 2009 on Pakistan Peoples Partys ticket. He was selected for a term of four years ending on March 15, 2015. He belongs to Hyderabad, Sindh. He is a graduate of University of Sindh. He is also chairing. He is also a member of Standing Committee on Water and Power and Standing Committee on Information Technology and Telecommunications.
