OUR STAFF REPORTER LAHORE - Sri Lanka scored impressive 15-0 over Afghanistan in the first SAARC Baseball Cup match here at the Punjab Stadium on Friday. Sri Lankan batters opened their account in the second innings making two scores through Iresh and Abeysooriya. Afghanistan batters were completely subdued by the Sri Lankan pitchers in their second innings. Lankan batters made four scores in their third innings. Mahathanthila, Perara, Iresh and Mannauium got one score each. In the fourth innings they added six more scores to their total. Nabeen, Samera, Khosla, Nelanka, Saajeela and Mannauium collected one score each. Sri Lankan batters made one score in their fifth inning through Eampiya. Supun and Krishna added two more scores taking their sixth innings total to 15. Afghanistan failed to score in all their seven innings as Sri Lankan pitchers maintained accuracy and aggression throughout the match. Match was declared ended due to 15 scores difference. Chief guest SVP PBF Col (retd) Shujaat was presented a souvenir by Secretary PBF Khawar Shah.
