QUETTA - Balochistan High Court has expressed resentment over the unnecessary expenditure made during the caretaker prime minister’s visit to Quetta out of the national kitty.A division bench comprising Chief Justice Balochistan High Court Justice Qazi Faez Esa and Justice Tahira Safdar heard the suo moto case, here on Monday.During the hearing, a report on the part of chief secretary Balochistan was produced in the court. The court was apprised that Rs 0.5 to Rs 0.6 million were spent on banners and posters during the caretaker prime minister’s visit to Quetta.The court asked why the amount from national kitty was spent on an unnecessary campaign during Careaker Prime Minister’s visit, adding that interim governments had no right to make their publicity.The court also expressed its displeasure over the publicity posters of a specific party. The court rejected chief secretary Balochistan’s report and adjourned the case till April 20. In another case, Balochistan High Court approved a petition of Nawab Aali Bugti, grandson of slain nationalist leader Nawab Akbar Bugti, against Aman Lashkar (peace force) in Dera Bugti.Nawab Aali in his application has taken the plea that Ghulam Qadir Masouri Bugti in the name of Aman Lashkar has a private militia which is against Article 256 of the Constitution.The court admitted the application for hearing on Tuesday(today).
