ISLAMABAD – Prominent strategists and foreign policy experts are scheduled to discuss the shifting strategic dynamics and emerging power equilibrium in South Asia and the neighboring regions tomorrow (April 17), at a local hotel in Islamabad.

The one-day moot, organized by Strategic Vision Institute, will comprise of two session in which Dr. Zafar Iqbal Cheema, Dr. Zafar Nawaz Jaspal, Dr. Safraz Khan, Ross Masood, Shamshad Ahmad, Air Marshall (R) Masood Akhtar will highlight shifting strategic dynamics and emerging power balance in Eastern, Western and Central Asia and its implication for regional peace.

“Our objective to host the conference is to highlight the inherently interactive changes taking place in the strategic environment of South Asia including upcoming elections, experimentation of tactical nuclear weapons by India and Pakistan and, the most importantly, the scheduled withdrawal of International Security Assistant Forces (ISAF) from Afghanistan in 2014,” Dr. Zafar Iqbal Cheema, the president of SVI said.
