ISLAMABAD - Punjab swimmers dominated the opening day of the PSB Inter-provincial U-14 Swimming Championship on Monday.

Punjab talented swimmers scooped four gold medals besides creating new national records in three events. In 200 metres freestyle, M Rizwan of Punjab created national record of 2.59 seconds to win gold while his teammate M Hamza secured second position and Hassan Ahmed of KPK?got bronze.

In 100 metres breaststroke, Punjab's Hamza won gold and while Abdur Rehman also of Punjab won silver and Balochistan's Ali Abbas got bronze.

In 100 metres backstroke, Rizwan won another gold medal with another record for Punjab province with a timing of 1.30.07 seconds. Hamza followed him at second position while Hassam Ahmed of KPK was third.  Similarly, Punjab's Rizwan took his third gold medal and the fourth for his province when he won the 100 mertes butterfly event with a time of 1.38.31. Islamabad's Khurshid was placed second and Farhan of KPK was third.
