SAHIWAL - The Comsats Institute of Information Technology Sahiwal in collaboration with the National ICT R&D fund Ministry of Information Technology organised a seminar here the other day. ICT R&D fund Manager M Ali Iqbal was chief guest and consultants Office Of Research, Innovation and commercialisation (ORIC) Anwaar Hussain Zaidi and Ishaq Ali Comsats Islamabad. along with Dr Zaheer Uddin Sheikh director students affairs, Dr Shoukat Iqbal Kamboh and Director of academies participated in the seminar.
The seminar aimed at raising awareness among the University teachers about the importance of modern research. On the occasion, the participants were informed that Rs6 million allocated every year through R&D fund by the Ministry of Information Technology for different research projects.
Comsats Sahwial Director Dr Abdul Waheed called upon the participants that modern research was vital for the promotion of higher education and the Higher Education Commission and ICT R&D fund was providing maximum funds in this regard.
