SARGODHA - University of Sargodha Vice Chancellor Dr Mohammad Akram Chaudhry has said that the luminous roots of educational progress of the university are spreading day by day.

Addressing the 1st annual prize distribution ceremony of UoS Bhakkar Campus, he pointed out that the UoS was striving to eliminate illiteracy in rural areas across the division through its Bhakkar and Mianwali campuses.

The VC claimed that the university had achieved a number of milestones through the promotion of education covering the economic, financial and social needs of the people. Dr Akram Ch stressed that the students should also play their role for choosing honest and capable leadership by casting their votes in the forthcoming elections.

UoS Bhakkar Sub-Campus Director Dr Nawaz Tahir appreciated untiring efforts of Dr Akram Ch for the education in the region. He credited the VC for initiating Bhakkar Sub-Campus at a cost of Rs70 million.

Later, UoS Project Director Major (r) Syed Shahid Anwar briefed the participants on the project.
