LAHORE- The Lahore High Court today ordered removal of barricades and reopening of road around the model town residence of Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif.
The court gave the ruling on a petition against barricades placed around roads leading to Shahbaz Sharif’s residence in Model Town owing to security reasons. The court order stated that a step be taken to ensure security of CM’s residence and convenience to people at the same time. Justice Shahid Wahid of the LHC remarked that blockage of roads could not be allowed in the name of security. The petitioner, Khurram Khosa, said police officials often irk people on pretext of snap checking around the Model Town residence of the Chief Minister.
