Education promotion govt’s top priority: Minister

SIALKOT -Punjab Minister for Education Rana Mashhood Ahmed said that the government was ensuring the common men’s easy access to quality education, as increase in the literacy rate was the top agenda of the government.
The minister said that the promotion of education could also be helpful in combating terrorism and militancy. He was addressing a teachers’ convention held at the Anwar Club Auditorium Sialkot. He revealed that the government was spending billions of rupees on the promotion of quality education, provision of all the basic facilities in the government schools and ensuring easy access of the people to quality education. He urged the parents and the teachers to focus their attention on the better mental and physical growth of the special children for making them useful citizens of the society, besides, enabling the special children to serve the nation in a better way in future.
He narrated that children are the future of the country. He urged the mothers and teachers to utilise their abilities for better physical, mental and educational growth of their children, enabling them to serve the nation in a better way in the future. EDO (Education) Riaz Ahmed Sohi, Central Information Secretary of Punjab Teachers’ Union Muhammad Imtiaz Tahir, Engineer Shabir Ansari and other senior officials were also present.
