LAHORE - Following a brief altercation over road block, unidentified men tortured an ex-serviceman to death and wounded his son in the Defense-A area, police on Tuesday. The killers are at large as the police are unable to track down the attackers.

Maj (r) Muhammad Ashraf, a resident of Okara district, along with his family was on way to visit his relatives in the Defense area late Monday. When he reached near Defense-A road, he exchanged harsh words with some motorists over the blockage of road. The motorists, unidentified so far, attacked Ashraf and brutally tortured him and his son.

They fled away immediately from the crime scene.

Ashraf and his son were rushed to hospital, where he succumbed to wounds while the condition of his son was reported to be critical.

The body was moved to the morgue for autopsy. Police have registered a case against unidentified men and are investigating with no arrest made yet. A police official said that raids are underway to arrest the killers as the police got some clue about the attackers.
