NAB seeks report over delay in CDA staffers’ degree verification

Islamabad - Chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Qamar Zaman Chaudhry on Wednesday took serious notice of delay in verification of educational certificates of officials of Capital Development Authority (CDA). According to details, verification of educational degrees of officials of CDA are facing delay and thus causing hurdles in the early verification of educational degrees of CDA officials under rules and as per the directions of Establishment Division and Cabinet Division. The chairman NAB has directed Director General (Awareness and Prevention) NAB to seek a detailed report from chairman CDA at the earliest regarding the matter and put up a report for further necessary action as per rules. Earlier, in line with chairman NAB’s request to Dr Sohail Naqvi, Vice-Chancellor Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS), for support in setting up an effective monitoring and evaluation (M&E) system in NAB having warnings and alarms system for violators and delinquent, a team of LUMS visited NAB headquarters.
They were explained the requirements of a monitoring & evaluation framework for the organization. The team had a detailed session with senior officers at NAB headquarters and got briefing on accountability management system (AMS) being introduced in NAB.
