Launching an educational project, a lawmaker has said that modern education is the only way to steer the country out of crises, and that practical steps are needed instead of hollow slogans the purpose.

A decisive war will have to be fought for changing miseries of the nation into joys and happiness, MNA Malik Rasheed Ahmad said while addressing a ceremony held to lay foundation stone of new building of the Govt Girls College here the other day.

The MNA disclosed that the building would complete within one year with the cast Rs1.1 million and the government had fulfilled the oldest demand of locals.

Referring to the measures taken for the uplift of education sector, the MNA said that said that Educational Endowment Fund had been set up first time in the history of the country with a sum of Rs12 billion and more than 85 thousand talented but deserving students were receiving education in local and foreign educational institutions with the help of this fund.

He said that through educational fund, such scholars were being prepared which would change the destiny of Pakistan and would play an important role in achieving the goal of national progress and prosperity. MPA Malik Saweed Ahmed and MPA Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan Also spoke on the occasion.
