HAFIZABAD

The students of Channi Ghulla and Kot Saleem government girls’ primary schools and their parents expressed grave concern over the apathetic attitude of the Education Department for not paying heed to the reconstruction of boundary walls around the schools which had been washed away in floods last year.

They said that under the National Action Plan, the Education Department is bound to provide proper security for the students of the schools. But despite repeated requests, no action has so far been taken to construct boundary walls, they said.

They further said that sanctity of the schools was also being violated due to lack of boundary walls. They have appealed to the chief minister to order immediate construction of the boundary walls and also take action against the responsible officers of Education Department for their negligence in this respect.
